Chapter 3: The Whole Universe Is a Temple
Those who feel like lying down should do so now quietly, so that they don’t fall on others later on. Quietly lie down; soon the place will be darkened; so make your place and lie down. Even later, during the meditation, if you feel your body is going to fall on the ground, then don’t hold yourself back. Let go completely; allow the body to drop.
Now, turn off the lights.
The first thing: close your eyes.close your eyes.close your eyes.relax your body.relax your body totally as if the body is not there at all. Feel that all the energy of your body is moving in.feel that you are moving inside from the body. You have to withdraw all your energy inside.
For three minutes I will give suggestions that your body is relaxing, and you are to feel it so. You will feel that way and will go on relaxing your body, will go on relaxing your body. Slowly you will feel as if the body is gone. When the body falls or starts falling, do not stop it; let go of it completely and let it fall. If it bends forward, let it; if it falls backward, let it fall. You are not to keep any hold on the body from your side. You have to let go of all hold over it.this is the first step.
Now I will give suggestions for three minutes. Similarly, I will give suggestions for your breathing, and then for your thoughts. At the end, for ten minutes, we will disappear into silence.
