"The way out of the mind is to become aware of the mind and its mechanism, memory, imagination, thoughts, desires, fantasies. The traffic is there, continuously going on. You have just to stand by the side and watch whatsoever is passing, with no judgement, with no evaluation. Just a silent mirror reflecting whatsoever is passing by... without any commentary, just watching." Osho |

| The Goose Called Awareness |
The first step in healing emotional wounds: Acceptance.
Here’s how….
|
|
 |
| " The basic thing to be understood is that you are not the mind – neither the bright one nor the dark one. If you get identified with the beautiful part, then it is impossible...." |

| This Very Body, the Buddha: Yes, You. |
| This body is our very best friend; after all, where would we be without it? Yet, at best we ignore it, and at worst, neglect it: How much water have you drunk today? |
|
| "If everything is okay [with your body] you remain completely unaware of it and, really, that is the moment when contact can be made – when everything is okay – because when something...." |

| Growing Old or Growing Up |
| I’m feeling loving towards people, feeling warmth, but I don’t feel very sexual. I don’t know if my sexuality is slightly repressed or if it’s okay. |
|
 |
Growing older is not necessarily growing up!
To grow up is literally to grow upwards, and sexuality disappearing of its own accord is one indication of that process. It’s nothing to be alarmed about but an event to be celebrated...." |

I live in Germany and study directing for theater and film. I read Osho’s books and I did OSHO Dynamic Meditation for ninety days as a preparation for being in Pune. I really felt stronger and less afraid of the daily challenges, although I knew that it was not enough, I had to go to Pune.
Entering the front gate you can feel the intense energy, which is supported by the maroon robes. People leave a big part of their identity behind by changing their appearance.
This whole place is very beautiful; the plants, the architecture... everything is supporting the feeling of being welcome, and is inviting everyone to let go of their barriers.
I love the way people immediately start dancing every time music is playing. I cannot imagine a better place to explore and express, because one feels really safe here. It is like everybody is on his own and yet we are all together connected. Only such a quality makes unconditioned love possible. This is what is needed in the world.

Osho’s extraordinary talks on Zen are recognized works of genius, studied in Zen monasteries and universities and throughout the world. His inspiring books cover everything from the wisdom of the world’s mystics to answers to intensely personal questions about meditation and the inner search. His unique authenticity touches the reader in a way no other can.
Self-transformation, explains Osho, can only happen when we make a conscious jump from mind to no-mind, from the ego to our inner being. The Zen stories he comments on in this book are about real people to whom this has happened. Osho’s twenty-first century Zen technique is to speak on these stories in such a way that we are transported from the head to the heart, and then from the heart to silence. |
