| Dropping Ideals |
|
| Can negative emotions such as cowardice and hypocrisy also be beautiful? |
"If you have the idea to be a brave man then it looks ugly to be a coward. But cowardice is a fact, and the ideal is just an ideal, a fantasy of the mind. Sacrifice fantasies to reality, drop all ideals ...." |

| What Is Jealousy and Why Does It Hurt So Much? |
|
| "Jealousy is comparison. And we have been taught to compare, we have been conditioned to compare, always compare. Somebody else has a better house, somebody else has a more beautiful body, somebody else has more money, somebody else has a more charismatic personality...." |

A visitor this month writes:
“Twelve year ago, for the first time, I heard about Osho center in Pune. I was looking for a place where I could find the best transformational tools. Since then, each time I was ready to go there, something or other was stopping me, especially prejudices.
“Well, now, I have at least been here for four days and I would really like to express what would have allowed me to come earlier. Since my arrival everything is simple and cheap. After experiencing so many techniques and going to so many places, I just say that I am really astonished. The place is a homage to beauty.
“For the cost of a café and croissant in Paris, I am free to experience six to seven different techniques of meditation, swim in an extraordinary swimming pool, detox in the sauna, enjoy a movie, a party, and karaoke; select to have meals in three different places, discover different workshops and practice Chi Gong, Tai chi and Yoga.
“A shuttle picks me up safely at 5 am and takes me back to my guest house at night. Without exaggerating, I feel totally transformed in only four days. My body, for the first time in almost 70 years, is able to dance, and I feel very happy and gracious and full of joy. I feel totally free to be me, to search who I am. Nobody judges or interferes. I believe my body has never enjoyed such a complete freedom. And although nobody questions me or imposes anything, I feel secure.
“There are no masters and I wonder where are the people responsible for this perfect organization.
“The purpose of all these techniques is to free us from our conditionings. And I can witness that these techniques are not to replace one program with another “Osho” program. There are no images or sculptures. The place is not dedicated to a guru or a god. The place is a temple for human beings who come here. I love that I have decided to come. It was time, and I cannot wait to see what is going to happen.”

Life, Love, Laughter:
In this collection of reflections on three things that make us human - our longing to know the meaning of life, our capacity for love, and our ability to laugh - Osho goes far beyond the usual chicken-soup fare. "Life, Love, Laughter" establishes a new genre of reflective and inspirational text stripped of all platitudes and cliches, absolutely in tune with the realities of the twenty-first century. In this inspiring collection, Osho combines entertainment and inspiration, ancient Zen stories and contemporary jokes - and helps us to find love, laughter, and ultimately, happiness. "Life, Love, Laughter" includes an original talk by Osho on DVD. This visual component enables the reader to experience the direct wisdom and humor of Osho straight from the source. |

The Man Who Loved Seagulls :
In The Man Who Loved Seagulls, Osho discusses essential stories and parables from the world's great wisdom traditions of Zen, Taoism, Christianity, and Judaism. Osho - himself a master storyteller - interprets the stories in this collection and applies them to the concerns of modern day life. The valuable lessons they impart are both timely and universal. The stories encourage meditation as they are meant to be told and studied again and again, in order to discover new layers of meaning with each reading.
Ideas and topics include:
The futility of chasing happiness
The journey from fear to freedom
The Zen approach to death and dying
The extraordinary intelligence of innocence |

| Stop! |
 |
Just as you have the impulse to do something, stop.
You can try it anywhere. You are taking your bath - suddenly order yourself to "Stop!" and stop. Even if it is only for a single moment, you will feel a different phenomenon.... |
