Freedom from and Freedom for
If I were to condense your approach to emotional ecology, would I be correct in saying it is freedom from repression?

" Whether we’re talking yet another school shooting or spousal abuse, the issue of how we handle our emotions is obviously one that needs urgent attention.
In the Osho understanding, it is the chronically suppressed individual who, sooner or later, is taken over by his feelings in an eruption of violence and destruction

Be Honest with Your Emotions
I can’t communicate with my sister. I feel she has some jealousy towards me, which I can’t understand.

I came to the Osho International Meditation Resort in October 2009. In Taiwan I worked as a librarian. After ten years I decided to change my life because I was not happy. A friend mentioned Osho and introduced me to his books Freedom and Aloneness and Self Love. That brought me here.
I had never meditated before but I found Osho Dynamic Meditation very exciting. Initially the first stage of chaotic breathing was a little difficult, but as lots of emotions came out, the breathing became easier. I had to look at my conditioning of holding back my emotions, pretending that everything is harmonious.
I joined the Residential Program, a real learning experience. My work is in the Events Department, where everything moves fast. There’s always a new schedule, and we work late to set down after the night event. Again I had to see my conditioning of being successful, having a position, earning money. Here we work as a team; it is about sharing, not dominating. The painting exercise we did in Inner Skills for Work and Life – several of us painted one painting – was an eye-opener. There is no “your” work or “my” work: everything is “our” work. |
