We all know what the phrase “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder” means, that what I find beautiful, you may not: that our perception of beauty is subjective. What is the criterion of beauty? Is the appearance of outer beauty just skin deep, or is it a reflection of the inner, and how can meditation support our understanding of our own inner beauty? |
|
“The outer beauty comes from a different source than the inner. The outer beauty comes from your father and mother: their bodies create your body. But the inner beauty comes from your own growth of consciousness that you are carrying from many lives. |
|
“In your individuality both are joined, the physical heritage from your father and mother and the spiritual heritage of your own past lives, its consciousness, its bliss, its joy.” |

Provocations Into Consciousness |
"You have to go through a transformation and that, only you can do. Except you, nobody can reach there. And this is the beauty of the human soul, that it is absolutely unavailable to anybody. Your center is so protected by existence that nobody can even touch it." Osho |

“Close your eyes and feel the whole universe filled with sound. Feel as if every sound is moving toward you and you are the center. This feeling that you are the center will give you a very deep peace. The whole universe becomes the circumference and you are the center, and everything is moving toward you, falling toward you.” Osho |

Studies have shown that beautiful people, those seen as being attractive, are more successful, so can beauty also be empirical? What is the criterion of beauty, and is the appearance of outer beauty always just a reflection of the inner? |

This week at the Meditation Resort we welcomed in the New Year with the One World, One Celebration theme and Meditation, and the whole place sparkled as never before. On New Year’s Day the celebrations continued with our traditional (and always yummy) brunch, to the accompaniment of many creative themes and music. |
