Recently, Satya Nadella, the new Microsoft CEO, created a storm among working women with his casual statement at the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing: “It’s not really about asking for the raise, but knowing and having faith that the system will give you the right raises as you go along.…”
There was uproar among women in the Microsoft Corporation, who are paid overall 78% of what equally qualified men received, and all over the U.S. there were many comments and tweets condemning Nadella’s chauvinistic attitude. This remark in TIME magazine represents the bitterness of all women regarding the gender bias: "Smile pretty and don’t be so unbecoming as to ask for a salary bump. After all, a raise is a lot like a male suitor, and if you pursue it, you might just drive it away." |

A Celebration of Women and the Female Spirit |
|
"The woman should search into her own soul, for her own potential, and develop it, and she will have a beautiful future." Osho
In The Book of Women, Osho explores the role of women in our society. Up until now, he says, both religious institutions and politics have remained male-dominated – not only male-dominated but male-chauvinistic. This has created so many of the crises that we see in the world now, brought about by excesses of ambition, competitiveness, and greed. In these pages, Osho challenges readers to reclaim and assert the feminine qualities of love, joy, and celebration to bring a reunion of the intellect and the heart, a key step on the way to the being that is so desperately needed now. |

First of all I'm so happy and thankful to Osho and to the OSHO International Meditation Resort. Here I've learnt to live life 200% –100% inside & 100% outside. And while working here another important thing I've learnt is to observe myself, not others. So in short it's a "WOW!" experience with the beautiful people here. I am learning that life is precious, and to celebrate it with dance, music, silence, laughter and witnessing. I’m a professional photographer, and being able to teach photography here is a joy. |

I am a participant in the Creative Living program at the OSHO International Meditation Resort. It is my first time here, and I was supposed to stay just for one day, but when I came in I felt like I had no choice but to cancel my flight! My whole being wanted to stay here, and because of all the opportunity that this place is giving me to work on myself, I have been here for three months. The Meditation Resort is like heaven; the meditations are so helpful, complete, alive and effective. I see myself changing a little more every day. |
