Google the word “money” and you get two billion six hundred and eighty million results in 0.44 seconds. Said to make the world go round, these bits of paper & metal can cause a complete range of emotions from unbridled happiness to abject despair, affecting individuals through to entire countries, as we know from recent events. Here’s Osho’s take on the subject. |
“All the religions have been against wealth because wealth can give you all that can be purchased in life. And almost everything can be purchased except those spiritual values – love, compassion, enlightenment, freedom. But these few things are exceptions, and exceptions always prove the rule. Everything else you can purchase with money. Because all the religions have been against life, they were bound to be against money. That is a natural corollary. Life needs money because life needs comforts, life needs good food, life needs good clothes, good houses. Life needs beautiful literature, music, art, poetry. Life is vast!” |

Life as a Movie |
“Take this whole life as a myth, as a story. It is one, but once you take it this way you will not be unhappy. Unhappiness comes out of too much seriousness. Try for seven days; for seven days remember only one thing – that the whole world is just a drama – and you will not be the same again. Just for seven days! You are not going to lose much because you don’t have anything to lose. |
“You can try it. For seven days take everything as a drama, just as a show….” |

Work as Meditation has been a great experience for me. I came with no expectations, told myself that whatever work would be available, I would go for it. Saying “yes” to the opportunities is a fun game, and I enjoyed very much playing it. Translating Osho’s words has been a true meditation, his words will stay in me, with me and around me forever. These two weeks have been like several lifetimes in understanding myself, watching myself |

The place itself is so welcoming and joyous that all you feel is gratitude towards existence for being a part of it. |

Using Imagination to Change Negative to Positive |
“First thing in the morning, imagine yourself tremendously happy. Get out of bed in a very happy mood – radiant, bubbling, expectant – as if something perfect, of infinite value, is going to happen today. Get out of the bed in a very positive and hopeful mood, with the feeling that this day is not going to be an ordinary day – that something exceptional, extraordinary, is waiting for you; something is very close by. Try and remember it again and again for the whole day. Within seven days you will see that your whole pattern, your whole style, your whole vibration, has changed.” Osho |
